This Historically correct Roman Villa was re-created for a private residence using Pompeii and Herculaneum, A.D. 79, for reference. Both design and color palette remained true to the original. This particular project required 15 separate canvases’ to complete the illusion of how the affluent decorated their Villas during this ancient period in time and before the fatal eruption of Mt. Vesuvius destroyed the famous summer resort. www.metmuseum.org/toah/hd/cubi/hd_cubi.htm
